Meeting Planning

It is one of the primary purposes of the Patrol Leaders Council to plan and conduct engaging, quality Troop meetings.

Troop meetings must be well planned, well coordinated, and effectively executed to facilitate the involvement and continued participation of all of the members of the Troop; and to meet the goals of the Scouting Program.

Conducting merit badge instructional sessions does not constitute a Troop meeting program, and no Troop meeting should be based on merit badge sessions alone. The delivery of quality Troop meetings facilitates the development of the Scouting Skills necessary to achieve the rank of First Class Scout, and contributes significantly to the retention current Scouts and recruitment of new Scouts.

This section contains the resources needed to plan and deliver quality Troop meetings.
